Waiting on Remedy
"South of Paradise"
(c) 2013 Robin H. Seaver

[Intro]

[I]
I'm waiting on your sweet advice
somewhere down here
"South of Paradise"
So when I get some
Won't that be nice
To know where I stand

[I]
(I'm) depending on your point of view
a certain secret remedy rendezvous
and if I get some
well that's up to you
So tell me, who I am?

[II]
'Cause Everybody Wants a little piece of me
A little something good for poor estate
(Yeah) Everybody wants a little something wrong
Like what I want, that feels so right tonight

[III]
Well, I will live softly
yeah I will live only
In my dreams this time
'cause I'm living on a prayer, girl
(just) living on a prayer

[I]
Still wishin you could whisper nice
to lift me upward, from my
"South o' Paradise"
so little Grace here
I need to find me some vice
or I might just burn here where I stand

[I]
I'll be needing wanting waiting til its oh so clear
Oh Lord I know it should be getting ever near
Rye smile laughter: tell me where to steer
I'm Dreaming drifting spinning, so please: can I hear
that sweet advice again

[II]
Cause everybody wants that little piece of me
a little something good but they don't want to wait
everybody knows whats great for them
but no one wants to signal or burn too bright

[I]
I'm waiting on your sweet advice
from somewhere down here
South of Paradise...

[intro:ortni]
still on a mission so they don't grant mercy
too little grace down below the pyre in the sky
sick with indecision 'cause they all fight dirty
same old rendition & they don't care why

There's only one way to fail - that's to quit trying.
Read any stories about truly successful people, and you'll read about a series of failures, until...

"We'll cross that bridge when we skim beneath it."

I find myself waiting on your sweet advice
from down here somewhere south of paradise
and won't it be so very nice
to finally know where I stand

I sit here in the afternoons
trying to strum or finger pick a better tune
and it won't come no not too soon
I'll finally know who I am

I'm still here, hanging on your prayers
lost to the world, lost to my cares
troubled by what I thought I'd dare
I see myself in what I began
